  QUALITYstarsNY is a voluntary five-star "rating system" much like those used for hotels and restaurants, with the number of stars indicating the quality of an early care and learning program. However, unlike those other rating systems, QUALITYstarsNY provides an infrastructure for assessing, improving and communicating the quality of care provided by early learning programs.
  The National Association for Family Child Care (NAFCC) is the only professional association dedicated specifically to promoting high-quality early childhood experiences in the unique environment of family child care programs.  NAFCC works on behalf of the one million family child care providers operating nationwide.
  EarlyChildhood.org is a one-stop information source for exploring careers in early childhood and school-age child care programs, as well as information on career advancement. This site also includes information that supports quality improvement. This website was developed by the NYS Council on Children and Families Head Start Collaboration Project to support professional development and improve quality early childhood and school-age programs.
  The Cornell Cooperative Extension educational system enables people to improve their lives and communities through partnerships that put experience and research knowledge to work.
  CACFP provides aid to child and adult care institutions and family or group day care homes for the provision of nutritious foods that contribute to the wellness, healthy growth, and development of young children, and the health and wellness of older adults and chronically impaired disabled persons. 
  Exchange provides a variety of public awareness materials, designed to help inform and increase awareness of child abuse and how it can be prevented. These are used in conjunction with Exchange Clubs and Exchange Club Child Abuse Prevention (CAP) Centers.
  The New York State Office of Children and Family Services serves New York's public by promoting the well-being and safety of our children, families and communities.
  Started in 1996 by a group of volunteers in New Jersey, Provider Appreciation Day is appropriately celebrated each year on the Friday before Mother’s Day. The founding organizers saw the need to recognize the tireless efforts of providers who care for children of working parents. Momentum and support for this event has grown each year and recognition presently includes individuals and government organizations throughout the United States.
  The Soho Center helps large numbers of children and families.  They promote quality child care nationally with a special focus on children's literacy, school readiness, and school success.  They do large-scale Book Giveaways and provide extensive on-line children's literacy tips.  And they feature reliable on-line health, nutrition, and safety resources for families and agencies.
   The Internal Revenue Service website provides forms to download and information about taxes.

 
The Educational Incentive Program (EIP) is a scholarship program that helps child care providers pay for training and educational activities with the intent to build provider knowledge, skills, and competencies in order to improve the quality of child care. To be eligible for EIP, child care providers must be required to take training and must be caring for children in a program regulated by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (NYS OCFS) or the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (NYC DOHMH).


 
The mission of the World Forum Foundation is to promote an on-going global exchange of ideas on the delivery of quality services for young children in diverse settings. This mission is accomplished through convening gatherings of early childhood professionals around the world and by promoting the continuing exchange of ideas among participants.
  The Terri Lynne Lokoff Child Care Foundation (TLLCCF) is a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization dedicated to making America better by improving early care and education. Our focus is to improve the quality of programs that care for and educate children from birth through age five, and enlist and enlighten others to do the same.  “The Foundation recognizes that quality early care and education depends on the expertise of teachers and providers.”
